Transforming an Outdoor Entryway in East Whiteland Township

January 25, 2021

This homeowner uses her home as an office where she consults with her clients. She wanted to create a more attractive place for them to wait outside – with a bench – where they could sit and wait until their appointment time, if needed.

We began by removing the overgrown plants from the front of the house, saving some that could be transplanted within the new design. Then we created an irregular flagstone pathway area that is perfect for the bench.

We then brought in conditioned bio-soil for the new bedded areas to improve the quality of the existing clay soils. Next, we brought in some ornamental trees, shrubs, perennials, and family spring flowing bulbs to create a four-season landscape that all can enjoy.

The birds and pollinators are happy about the new look too!
