Naturescapes’ very own John Fridy participated in the French Creek Iron Tour earlier this month, biking 63 miles to support the French and Pickering Creek Conservation Trust.

The event, which took place on June 9, had over 1,400 participants. Participants had the option of riding 10, 22, 35, 50, 63, 75 and 100 miles along the scenic countryside of northern Chester County.

In addition to the biking tour, lunch was served at the Kimberton Fairgrounds. Lunch included veggie and beef hot dogs  (with all the fixings), pasta salad and a lovely mixed greens tossed salad, plus birch beer, water and Gatorade. It was a great day, and Mother Nature was kind to cooperate.

Naturescapes was a sponsor of the event, which helps the Trust save open space and protect the natural resources in northern Chester County.

Fore more information about the event, visit the French Creek Iron Tour website. Next year’s event will be held on Sunday, June 8.
