Paoli, PA, May 15, 2014 /3BL Media/ – Naturescapes has gone green by purchasing the equivalent of 100% of its power usage with JustGreen renewable energy certificates (RECS). The RECs were produced by wind farms that generated electricity for the U.S. power grid and are certified by Green-e® Energy, the nation’s leading certification program for renewable energy. Naturescapes is listed in the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Green Power Partnership and the green power purchase is equivalent to planting 422 trees.

“At Naturescapes Landscape Specialists, Ltd. we believe it’s important to offer landscapes that are enjoyable to the client, change with the seasons and are beneficial to the environment plus its natural inhabitants (birds, butterflies, etc.).  Landscapes designed this way need less water and other resources than conventional ones.  This is why Naturescapes supports renewable energy. Being a green business we’re proud to do our part investing in greener energy for our needs,” said Naturescapes owner, John Fridy.

“We are excited to offer our JustGreen products to Naturescapes and help the company reduce the environmental impact of their energy use,” said G.P. Manalac, JustGreen Executive Vice President. “By increasing voluntary demand for green power, JustGreen is helping organizations meet their greenhouse gas reduction goals. Organizations throughout North America have access to our Green-e® Energy certified renewable energy certificates and are able to join in our mission to help stop global warming.”

About Naturescapes Landscape Specialists, Ltd.
Naturescapes designs and installs naturalistic, low-maintenance plant communities using as many native species as possible.  These species and others that have adapted to our geography require less water, fertilizer and maintenance than exotic plants. We advocate planting perennials versus annuals and returning more lawn area to bedded area.  Bedded areas absorb more rainfall than lawns which repel rather than absorb moisture, causing runoff.  The small amount of fertilizer we use is 100% organic.  As our plantings do not need high amounts of water, we discourage the use of irrigation systems thereby conserving this precious resource.
