We hope to see you at the annual Trail Run & Wellness Fair by Kimberton Waldorf School, an event we are proud to sponsor. The Trail Run will raise money to promote clean water and healthy soils in the school and the surrounding community.
This year’s theme is sustainability, focused on non-GMO foods and clean water, air, and soil. These causes are dear to the Kimberton Waldorf School, which values environmental stewardship.
Runners can sign up for a 5k or a 10k along the French Creek Trail. The scenic trail is a single loop for the 5k, and two loops for the 10k. Runners will pass through protected fields, hardwood forests, over tributaries, and along the French Creek. Non-runners can participate in a more relaxed 5k nature walk along the scenic French Creek Loop.
Other events include a free kids’ run, children’s activities, free organic hot lunch and healthy snacks, free post-run chair massages, raffles, adoptable animals from All 4 Paws Rescue, and a Mini-Farmer’s Market. Plus, you won’t want to miss the live RAPTOR Meet & Greet by the John James Audubon Center!
Timeline for the Day’s Events
The Trail Run & Wellness Fair will take place Sunday, October 7th, 2018 on the school’s 410 acre campus located at 410 West Seven Stars Road, Phoenixville, PA.
- 8:30 AM: Wellness Fair begins and same-day registration opens in the high school gymnasium.
- 9 AM: Kids’ Fun Run begins on the school track.
- 10 AM: 5k and 10k Trail Runs and the 5k Nature Walk begin.
- 10:45 AM: Complimentary organic lunch is served & awards and raffles begin.
- Noon: The event informally ends.
