Sometimes, the biggest impact can come from a single day’s work. That was the case with this Malvern landscaping project, where our Naturescapes team completely revitalized the front facade of this home, creating a brand-new look that blends structure, color, and natural stone.
Out With the Old, In With the New
We began by carefully removing all the existing foundation/sidewalk plants to make way for a more intentional design. By starting with a clean slate, we ensured that each new element could stand out and contribute to the overall balance of the space.
Anchoring with Natural Elements
To frame the refreshed design, we placed several large boulders throughout the beds. These stone accents provide natural structure and help anchor the plantings, creating a timeless and welcoming look that complements the home’s architecture.
Layered Plantings for Structure and Color
The plant palette was chosen to offer both year-round interest and seasonal bursts of color. Upright evergreens add vertical accents near the entryway and driveway, giving the design height and definition. Along the walkway, neat rows of natural shrubs provide structure and a classic foundation presence.
For color and texture, we added a mix of perennials with deep-hued foliage and vibrant seasonal blooms. These selections will grow into soft, colorful drifts that contrast beautifully with the evergreens and stone. A mature Purple Leaf Plum tree already on the property ties the planting together, offering a dramatic backdrop with its rich burgundy leaves.
An Eye-Catching Transformation
The finished result is a foundation planting that feels both fresh and established. The combination of structure, texture, and natural elements has transformed the front of this Malvern home into a welcoming focal point with instant curb appeal, all in just one day.
