We’re sponsoring the the 10th Annual Making a Difference Luncheon, held by the Chester County Fund for Women and Girls. We’ve been supporting this event for ten years, and couldn’t be happier with the turnout every year. Proceeds from the luncheon go towards the Fund’s grantmaking that addresses issues such as safe housing, job training, after-school programs, prenatal health, food security, and more for women and girls throughout Chester County.

Honoring Outstanding Women

This year’s event will be held May 1st, 2015 at the Desmond Hotel in Malvern. Although this year’s luncheon is sold out, we encourage you to attend next year! This year, the featured speaker will be Nikki Johnson-Huston, Esq. This amazing woman will share how she managed to change her circumstances from homelessness at age 9 to eventually opening her own law firm in Philadelphia. It’s moving stories like Nikki’s that motivate us to make these events as successful as can be.

Additionally, the Chester County Fund for Women and Girls offers the Kitchen Table Award each year to women in the County in recognition of outstanding leadership and substantial contributions through service and philanthropy. This year’s recipient will be Phyllis Copeland for her work with the Chester County Historical Society. Phyllis also served on the Board of Directors for the Fund from 2001 until 2006.
